congrats! I think digital and print will always mix but I always like print because I can hold it in hand, I don't think digital can replace that

As for your mention of not being able to count readers, it's weird how we've become so accustomed to that with blog stats and whatnot. I wonder what it was like to be a writer before the internet days. I'm sure novelists and such could see sales reports but what about people writing short pieces for publications like you just did? I wonder.

The funny thing is that this is journaling, and the rest is really serendipitous (people leaving comments, and the occasional publication). If I think about an audience, it will stifle the spirit of journaling.
Great news! I like that the internet turns the concept of an audience into a conversation, but print publication also allows for some quiet reflection on the part of the reader. Good to know your words are available in both forms.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you and am so proud to know you via your blog! I am not at all surprised that they chose to publish part of your blog, I think it is absolutely brilliant! Keep up the wonderful journaling of your thoughts and sharing them wherever you can!
